COVID-19 Donations

Dexco closely monitors the scenario,assesses and implements actions on a daily basis, in line with the measures of the WHO and government authorities, with the objective of combating the spread of the pandemic and avoiding impacts on the health and safety of employees, partners and the commitment to consumers, working on the fronts:

  • Protection of the workforce;
  • Actions for society;
  • Effective and transparent communication.

PROTECTION OF THE WORKFORCE

All protocol measures were implemented at the company, both in Brazil and Colombia, respecting the particularities of each business.

  • A Crisis Committee was created and meets weekly, considering 5 fronts of action: People and Communication, Industrial/Supplies, Commercial, IT and Finance;
  • Special attention to the risk group, keeping in the home office (remote work) or contract suspension, without prejudice to gain for the employee;
  • Safe return from administrative areas in São Paulo. In this way, starting the 2nd phase of the recovery, in a rotation format (3-2), respecting the release of government agencies and ensuring the strictest measures for safe recovery. (Administrative areas of the other units follow the local recovery strategy);
  • All our units were adapted and, with this, we established safety and health protocols and employees are trained to return;
  • The home office practice at Duratex is being applied, according to the phases of safe recovery in the locations;
  • Resumption of operations, maintaining strict safety, health and distance standards;
  • Reinforcement in the cleaning, sanitization and asepsis of our units and central office, especially cafeterias, charters and common areas;
  • Increase in the transport fleet to comply with distance measures;
  • Within the limitations and recommendations of government agencies, Duratex is honoring the agreed deliveries, without any impact on partners;
  • Reopening of the two showrooms located in SP, with scheduled visits and strict safety, health and distance standards;
  • Monitoring the actions of government agencies through the Legal area;
  • Specific Treasury, Procurement, Controllership and Investor Relations actions;
  • Work plans and weekly monitoring by business units;
  • Specific actions with our partners and suppliers, aiming to adapt to the current context;
  • Structuring of health and well-being actions for employees and their dependents.

We remain attentive and follow the recommendations of the WHO and local governments, with strict health and safety protocols in all units. Also, preventive measures are being adopted during the pandemic.

ACTIONS FOR SOCIETY: WHAT WE HAVE DONE TO ADD EFFORTS TO COMBAT COVID-19?

Since 2020, donations have been made to more than 20 projects across the country, totaling more than 10 million. In 2021, we joined the Unidos pela Vacina movement, donating cold chambers to 23 municipalities in Paraíba, Pernambuco and Sergipe, which made it possible to receive and store vaccines against Covid-19, in addition to donating our products and hospital supplies to hospitals. and emergency care wards specializing in screening and combating Covid-19.
